Doctor: Why Yankees’ Giancarlo Stanton’s violent swing may have caused injury
Yankees' Giancarlo Stanton: No movement on baseball activities
The veteran slugger hasn't swung a bat in weeks while dealing with tennis elbow in both arms, which is an injury he also played through last season. Stanton indicated that he's been experiencing a significant amount of pain, and it's unclear if he'll be ready to go by Opening Day.
Stanton said he dealt with the condition, which is in both elbows, most of last season — including in October, when he was by far the Yankees’ best offensive performer as they reached the World Series. He said he has not swung a bat in the last “three to four weeks.” It is not clear when he will begin doing so.

Hosted on MSNGiancarlo Stanton Remains Without TimetableNew York Yankees designated hitter Giancarlo Stanton (elbow) remains without a timetable. Yankee manager Aaron Boone said on Sunday that there is "nothing imminent" regarding Stanton's return to baseball activities.
Sunday at Yankees camp also featured injury updates on Trent Grisham, Jake Cousins and a member of the coaching staff.
Aaron Boone said Giancarlo Stanton, who reported for spring training Sunday with the rest of the position players, enters camp dealing with the equivalent of "tennis elbow" in both elbows.
The Yankees slugger is still dealing with the issue and it will have him starting spring training from behind.
