The Bears are set to interview Giants offensive coordinator Mike Kafka on Thursday, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.

New York Giants assistant head coach Mike Kafka says he has one year remaining on his contract and “loves working” with Brian Daboll.

Mike Kafka’s future could turn in a lot of different directions. The Giants assistant head coach/offensive coordinator revealed Thursday that he is under contract in 2025, which means he can be blocked from interviewing to make a lateral move even though another team might allow him to regain the play-calling responsibilities that he lost to head coach Brian Daboll after the 2023 season.

"Buzz" has emerged, pointing to Kafka being dismissed in the event Daboll remains in place, Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer writes. Such a development would likely be centered on Daboll reclaiming full control of the Giants offense.
