A pair of wins over Texas and South Carolina has Florida back into the top five of the latest KenPom college basketball ratings.

The Florida Gators are a finalist for a top offensive tackle in the 2026 recruiting class. According to On3’s Hayes Fawcett, the Gators are one of five schools still in the running for Brunswick (Ga.) High School’s Heze Kent.

The Florida Gators moved up three spots into the top five of the latest AP Top 25 on Monday. This move up in the rankings comes after two big in-conference wins, including one over the top team in the country.

Florida and Georgia will tip off Saturday, January 25th at 3:30 PM ET and it will be televised on SEC Network.

Florida has won 16 straight at home, with its last loss at the O'Connell Center coming on Jan. 4, 2024, against Kentucky (87-84). After Missouri, Florida will conclude a two-game homestand hosting Texas on Saturday (ESPN/2, 2 p.m. or 4 p.m.)
