The front fenders were extended 4.5" on each side in metal, while the rears were widened by a whopping 6.5" on each side. With the new fenders, Carlos sourced a facelift front end from a '04 sedan.

The first John Cooper Works was limited to 2000 units, built by hand at Bertone in Italy. From that point on, it became quite obvious that BMW doesn't need any help with front-wheel drive.
