Marvel, Fantastic Four and Steps

First Steps with our essential pre-viewing guide! Discover if you need to watch previous films, how it connects to the MCU, and what comics to read.
At the time of writing, the only way to see "The Fantastic Four: First Steps" is by heading to your nearest movie theater. It only hit the big screen on July 25 (or July 24, in the U.K.), and that's likely where it'll stay for some time.
Fantastic Four stars Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Marvel's First Family as they make their first tentative steps into the MCU. The cast also includes Julia Garner, Natasha Lyonne, and Paul Walter Hauser, though John Malkovich has seemingly not made the cut in the final version.
Pedro Pascal leads a cast of fine actors in yet another sluggish attempt to bring the Marvel comic heroes to life.
Comics readers have very particular standards — I first saw the 1994 movie at an unauthorized screening full of fans yelling out their negative comments — and now that the team has entered the Marvel Cinematic Universe, “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” has the chance to finally get things right.
