The Supreme Court announced on Wednesday that it will hear a pair of cases challenging state laws banning biological men from women’s sports in January, setting the date for arguments with implications for dozens of similar state laws.
The Trump administration filed the emergency appeal to the Supreme Court the day after the Federal Reserve's September meeting, when the rate-setting committee voted to reduce a key interest rate by one-quarter of a percentage point. Cook was appointed to the Federal Reserve in 2022 by then-President Joe Biden.
