Special Olympics Tennessee and Vanderbilt University have announced a bid to host the 2030 Special Olympics USA Games in Nashville.

Nashville has submitted a bid to host the 2030 Special Olympics USA Games. Special Olympics Tennessee began work on the bid in 2021, in collaboration with the city’s professional sports teams, Vanderbilt University, Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp., Music City Center and others.

Special Olympics Tennessee and Vanderbilt University officially announced Nashville's bid to host the 2030 Special Olympics USA Games Monday at Vanderbilt's McGugin Center. As the Post previously reported, if awarded, the event would bring an estimated 4,500 Special Olympics athletes and 10,000 volunteers to Nashville.

Now, Nashville could be the host of one major national event. On Monday, Special Olympics of Tennessee partnered with Vanderbilt to officially put in a bid to host the 2030 Specia
