EDINBURGH Zoo’s eight-week-old pygmy hippo calf, Haggis, has been enjoying swimming the pool as part of a daily routine.
Native to West Africa, pygmy hippos are an endangered species, with only 2,500 estimated to remain in the wild.
"Haggis is doing really well so far and it is amazing to see her personality beginning to shine already," Jonny Appleyard, hoofstock team leader at Edinburgh Zoo, said in a statement in the release.
