Five American service members were killed in a crash late Friday after their helicopter had a "mishap" during a training exercise and went into the eastern Mediterranean Sea, the military said Sunday.

The body of 25-year-old Staff Sergeant Caleb Gore returned to North Carolina on Thursday afternoon. The Army soldier was killed in March in a helicopter training crash near Fort Campbell in Kentucky.
