Spain advanced to the UEFA Nations League final with a 5-4 win over France – nearly blowing a four-goal lead – to set up a showdown with Portugal on Sunday. What looked to be a blowout got nervy in the final minutes.

Spain’s teenage sensation Lamine Yamal inspired his country to a thrilling 5-4 win over France on Thursday to send the holders through to their third successive Nations League final where they will face Portugal.

In their first meeting since the Euro 2024 semifinal, France fell to Spain, 5-3. France had previously beaten Spain 2-1 in the 2021 Nations League final. Spain will now play Portugal in the UEFA Nations League final on Sunday (3 p.m. ET on FOX). France will play Germany in the third-place match.
