In less than three months, Giant Eagle is shutting down its 40-year-old supermarket off Lincoln Highway in North Versailles. After that, customers will have to travel three miles or more to visit another one of their stores.

In a statement Wednesday, the North Versailles Giant Eagle supermarket and in-store pharmacy located at 1701 Lincoln Highway will remain open until its set closure on May 31. "Giant Eagle Inc. has made the difficult, but necessary decision to close the North Versailles Giant Eagle," the statement read.
