Suspect in Gilmerton Ave. homicide apprehended
65-year-old Tony Anthony McKeithan, who also goes by the nicknames "Tiger" and "Tony the Tiger," is suspected of shooting 38-year-old Hatcher at approximately 10:20 a.m. in the 300 block of Gilmerton Avenue. Hatcher died on the scene once police arrived.

Suspect in homicide of Marvin Lamar Hatcher located by Portsmouth police
On Sept. 24 at approximately 10:20 a.m., Portsmouth Police responded to a shooting in the 300 block of Gilmerton Avenue and discovered Hatcher suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene. McKeithan was arraigned on Thursday morning and is currently being held without bail.
