LeBron James reportedly sprained a ligament in his left knee during the Los Angeles Lakers’ final playoff game.

The injury occurred in the fourth quarter when James collided with Timberwolves guard Donte DiVincenzo -- who was called for an offensive foul -- which sent him to the ground writhing in pain. The four-time champion was on the ground for a while, and immediately came out of the game where he could be seen limping to the sideline.

A detailed report from The Athletic's Sam Amick and Jovan Buha released Friday revealed that, although James was willing to take a salary hit last offseason to help the Lakers' roster, the 40-year-old star is "not expected" to consider such a sacrifice should he play in 2025, per league sources.
