London: The UK police investigating the murder of 24-year-old Harshita Brella, whose body was recovered from a car boot in east London, have launched a manhunt for her Indian-origin husband who they suspect fled the country after killing his wife earlier this month.

A murder investigation has been launched after a woman's body was found in the boot of a car in east London. Detectives said a murder inquiry has been launched into the "suspicious" discovery in Ilford. The woman, who has not been named but is from Corby in Northamptonshire, may have been the victim of a "targeted incident", police say.

Woman found murdered in car boot named by police - Northamptonshire Police believe that Harshita Brella, of Corby, was attacked by someone she knew.

Police were called to Sturton Walk on the Lincoln Estate, Corby, after a concern for the welfare of the woman was raised on Wednesday (November 13). Their enquiries took them to Ilford, East London, where they linked with Metropolitan Police officers who discovered the woman’s body in the boot of a car.
