Michigan State Police shared video of the Saturday afternoon twister in Deckerville, which is in Sanilac County. It shows the tornado touching down in a rural area. In the video, you can see debris flying up in the tornado’s path. No injuries were reported.
Construction for nearly 2 miles of U.S. 10 from the Lake/Osceola county line (Lakola Road) to 220th Avenue on the east side of U.S. 131 will start July 29, costing approximately $1 million. The estimated date is mid-October. The project will include ramp closures to U.S. 131.
