For the second time in the 2025 NCAA Tournament, Michigan State basketball took a major punch in the first half from a feisty opponent but was able to pull away in the second half. In the Round of 32, the Spartans beat New Mexico 71 to 63 after going into halftime down to the Lobos.

The Michigan State women's basketball team are moving on to the second round of the NCAA tournament and will take on ACC-leading North Carolina State. The Spartans punched their ticket to advance in the dance after after knocking off the Harvard Crimson, 64-50.

When the action hasn't been taking place on the floor during March Madness there's only been one other main topic of conversation at the NCAA Tournament, and it's all about NIL and how the transfer portal is drastically changing the sport.

Despite the fact that two more weeks remain before a March Madness champion is crowned, the NCAA transfer portal opened on Monday.
