Idaho voters have rejected Proposition 1, the open primaries and ranked-choice voting initiative. 69.8% of voters voted against the measure during Tuesday's general election.The initiative would have established a primary where all candidates are listed on a ballot regardless of party affiliation.

Republican Party Chair Dorothy Moon told supporters she had not seen grassroots supporters work so hard “since the Tea Party days.” If Prop 1 had passed, the measure would have made two big changes to the state’s elections.
