Hurricane Helene will likely form by Wednesday morning as it moves past the western tip of Cuba and the northeastern tip of the Cancun peninsula. From here, Hurricane Helene will continue to strengthen as it moves across the eastern Gulf of Mexico.

Hurricane Helene weakened into a post-tropical cyclone on Friday after making landfall overnight in northwestern Florida as a Category 4 storm. The storm has been blamed for at least 40 deaths, including 19 people in South Carolina, as it plowed its way north through several southeastern states.
