As the ongoing VTA strike continues into its third week, Tuesday saw the first full day that $5 Uber vouchers have been offered to VTA riders.

On Monday night, the agency announced it will offer vouchers up to $5 for each ride with a maximum of two rides per day. Rides must begin and end at a VTA bus or light rail stop and must be ordered on Uber’s mobile app, according to the VTA.

Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority workers have rejected the latest contract offer from the agency, as a strike that has stopped bus and light rail service throughout the South Bay enters its third week.
