Deputies were called to a home on North Highway 101 on a report of a shooting finding a man barricaded in the house, refusing to negotiate

According to the sheriff’s office, around 9:45 p.m., dispatch received a 911 call from someone reporting shots fired at a home in the area of North Highway 101 in Greer. Responding deputies learned that a resident at the home fired at another person who lived there too.

One person is dead following a deputy-involved shooting early Tuesday morning in Greer. The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call Monday night before 10 p.m. regarding shots fired in the 3200 block of North Highway 101.
