Americans see the federal government as rife with corruption, inefficiency and red tape — but they're less sure about whether Elon Musk is the right person to fix it. A new poll from The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research shows that only about 3 in 10 U.

The poll found that 52% have an unfavorable opinion of Musk while 36% have a favorable view. When asked if they support President Donald Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency, or DOGE, which Musk is leading, 39% said they disapprove and only 29% approve.

Only around one-third of Americans have a positive view of Musk, a new AP-NORC poll found, with 60% saying it is a bad idea for Trump to rely on billionaires for policy advice.
