The Trump administration on Thursday announced construction will begin in September on a $200 million ballroom at the White House that appears to be almost twice as big as the existing structure and will add an event space capable of seating 650 people.

The White House said Thursday that work on a huge new ballroom, costing $200 million, will start in September and be completed by the conclusion of President Donald Trump's term in early 2029.It will be the most recent modification made to "The People's House" since the Republican president took office again in January.
