The Chicago Sky’s preseason opener in Baton Rouge, La., will offer a rare return to the past for three of their youngest stars.

Angel Reese and Hailey Van Lith last played a game together when Iowa bounced the LSU women’s basketball team out of the NCAA Tournament in 2024.   That fact will change at 8 p.m. Friday (ION), when the Chicago Sky visit the Pete Maravich Assembly Center to play a preseason contest against the Brazilian National Team.

Despite a late-season wrist injury that ended her run prematurely, Angel Reese arrives in full health for Friday’s contest, her surgically repaired wrist cleared for contact. This means that the WNBA All-Star and former NCAA champion will be ready to play in her long-awaited return to Baton Rouge, with LSU set to host the preseason game.
