The Russian Coast’s strongest earthquake since 1952 provided enough energy for six volcanoes adjacent to the Ring of Fire to spout off. Another could be imminent.

Among the active volcanic eruptions was the Krasheninnikov volcano, a previously at least 400-year-dormant volcano.

The most notable of the seven volcanoes to erupt is Krasheninnikov. On Sunday, Krasheninnikov shot an ash plume up to 3.7 miles (6 kilometers) into the air, according to the BBC. It was the first time experts had registered its eruption since the 15th century.
