While Jhonkensy Noel provided the Guardians with one of their biggest postseason home runs ever, he was DFA'd on Wednesday to make room for Justin Bruihl.
The Guardians acquired Justin Bruihl, a LHP, from the Blue Jays for cash considerations. To make room on the 40-man roster, Jhonkensy “Big Christmas” Noel was DFA’d. Matt Seese has a great write up on Bruihl and how he fits into the bullpen.
On Wednesday, Dec. 17, the Cleveland Guardians decided to designate Noel for assignment in response to acquiring Justin Bruihl from the Toronto Blue Jays.
