The Los Angeles Clippers received a bad update about Kawhi Leonard's return to the court due to his right ankle sprain.

Leonard suffered a sprained ankle in the fourth quarter of the Clippers' loss against the Miami Heat on November 3, has been out of the lineup with the same injury. As Leonard continues to miss games, the Clippers continue to falter.

By now, it is the biggest open secret in the NBA that the Celtics need some additional heft in their frontcourt to return to contention.

Tyrese Maxey scored 39 points, Paul George had nine points and seven rebounds in his season debut and the Sixers rallied for a victory over the short-handed Clippers.
