O ver the weekend, “ Happy Gilmore 2 ” teed off in a big way, hitting the No. 1 spot on Netflix right after its July 25 premiere. Nearly 30 years after Adam Sandler first introduced us to the hockey player-turned-golfing legend, the sequel is serving up a double shot of nostalgia and fresh laughs — and fans can’t get enough.

When we meet Happy after all these years, he's in sorry shape. He's an alcoholic, using booze to numb the guilt and grief of Virginia's death. But as the Happy Gilmore 2 trailer shows, he decides to sober up and get back to golfing in order to help his beloved daughter Vienna go abroad to ballet school.

Happy Gilmore 2 brings back plenty of beloved characters and some funny antics, but this golf comedy film is still no hole-in-one.
