COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — J.T. Miller and Vincent Trocheck scored in the shootout to give the New York Rangers their NHL-leading ninth road win, 2–1 over the Columbus Blue Jackets on Saturday night.

The Blue Jackets dropped an overtime contest against Montreal by a 4-3 score Nov. 27, then beat the Canadiens by a 5-4 final Dec. 23. The Blue Jackets, with the loser's point, are on a four-game point streak during their busiest stretch of the season.

A big reason why the Rangers have been inconsistent is because their skill players haven’t pulled their weight. But all of a sudden, Artemi Panarin has nine points and a plus-four rating in his last four games, and it is ostensibly related to a haircut.
