As the search for 45-year-old Michael Brown closes in on one week, authorities are continuing their efforts to locate the suspect in a mass shooting at the Owl

Four people are dead after a shooter opened fire at Anaconda’s Owl Bar at approximately 10:30 a.m. on Aug. 1, 2025, according to a press release from the Montana Department of Justice.

The manhunt is focused on the wilderness area outside Anaconda, which local outdoor experts describe as particularly difficult to navigate.
