Soccer great Cristiano Ronaldo and his long-term partner Georgina Rodriguez are engaged. The 31-year-old Rodríguez announced the happy news on Instagram on Monday with a photograph showing a huge ring on her finger.

Ronaldo, 40, and Rodríguez, 31, began dating in 2017 after meeting at the Gucci store where she worked. The athlete and the Vogue cover model sparked marriage rumors last summer when Ronaldo referred to Rodríguez as his “wife.”

That same year, Rodriguez and Ronaldo starred in a reality show titled "I Am Georgina" on Netflix. The series got a second season in 2023. During that series, the two spoke about getting engaged one day, with Ronaldo saying, "I'm 1,000 percent sure it will happen."
