Authorities say one person has died after a fire engulfed a home in Maricopa early Friday morning. Alaina Kwan reports at the scene.

The Phoenix Fire Department confirmed a firefighter was injured while battling a large blaze on the city’s westside on Friday.

At around 1:30 p.m., crews with the Phoenix Fire Department responded to a fire at a business near 35th Avenue and McDowell.
