On January 30, 1922, Sacramento experienced an unusual winter storm that left the city, and places like Sutter’s Fort, blanketed with a couple inches of snow. In 1923, the franchise wasfounded in Rochester, New York as the Rochester Royals. With stops along the way in Cincinnati (1957) and Kansas City/Omaha (1972), they found their home in Sacramento as the Kings (1985-Present).
