I’m engraving an 18ct gold signet ring, here adding detail to the wing feathers. 18ct’s tough to engrave, as gold naturally wants to stick to itself - The higher the carat / the sticker it becomes. Proving the idea that “lower carats are more hard wearing” is an ‘old wives tale’! Hidden behind St Giles’ Cathedral, it’s like stepping into a secret world of books and elegance. The tea? Perfection. The treats and desserts? Absolutely next level. And the service? So lovely!
