China now holds more dolphins and orcas in captivity than any other country in the world. There are over 100 dolphinariums across the country — and more are being built. More than 1,300 marine mammals are kept in concrete tanks. And that includes 22 captive orcas, many taken from the wild. These intelligent animals suffer for entertainment, photo sessions, and swim-with-dolphins programs. They deserve the ocean — not a tank. It’s time to end captivity.
