The Virginia Center for Inclusive Communities’ 48th annual Lynchburg Humanitarian Awards Dinner took place on May 27, 2015. Coach Jimmy Green accepted the award on behalf of the E.C. Glass High School Football Coaches (1971-1976). They received the VCIC Distinguished Merit Citation, given to organizations or groups who promote understanding and respect, for their leadership in bridging racial divides during the 1970s.
